
FLEXPAY
Earned Wage Access, or EWA, is a very simple, straight forward product. Once an employee has worked for a day, they have already earned one day’s wages. As they keep working, they keep earning wages for the number of days worked. These wages are paid to employees by their employers, every two weeks. Consequently, each employee has to wait for payday to get two weeks’ worth of their pay.
FlexPay allows employees to access their earned wages any time they like during a pay period. This effectively makes every day a payday.
All they need to do is submit a request, which is approved by the employer. Once the request is approved, their requested earned wages are credited to their bank account the same day.
On payday, the employer reimburses the earned wages paid to their employees in advance by FlexPay and credits the employee’s balance wages into their account.
This process does not interfere with the existing payroll of the employer and the T4 or taxation calculation of employees.
